Our Mission

Near East Foundation UK (NEF) works with local partners to promote innovative, sustainable and community-led economic and social development across the Middle East, Africa and the Caucasus, with the aim of building more prosperous, inclusive and resilient communities. We support marginalised people and communities to develop new skills and access resources, networks and opportunities, helping them to shape a future in which they can overcome vulnerability to poverty, economic and social inequality, conflict, climate change and environmental degradation.
